A. I acknowledge and fully understand that my child will be engaging in physical activities that may
involve some risk of injury.
B. I acknowledge and have been advised that it is my responsibility to consult with my child’s physician
with respect to any past or present injury, illness, health problem or any other condition or medication that may affect my child’s participation.
C. I, the undersigned parent or guardian, understand that Yoga is not a substitute for medical attention, examination, diagnosis or treatment. In the case where my child has an injury, sickness or anything else that may be affected by physical activity, I have consulted with physician to ensure my child can take yoga classes.
D. I recognize that it is my responsibility to notify the instructor of any serious illness or injury before every yoga class.
Although we will never practice difficult exercises, please convey the following information to your child:
Asana (yoga posture) means posture easily held.
a) Yoga requires silence during practice in order for all the children to follow instruction and create concentration, if any child is distracting the class after given a warning, they will be requested to sit out. It is not fair to the other kids who are participating to have their yoga time limited.
b) Mediation means quiet our minds and think of a happy thought with a smile.
c) If it’s too hard or if it hurts, you can stop! It’s ok.
d) You may rest at any time during the class.
e) It is important in yoga that you listen to your body, and respect its limits on any given day.
