Our Spiritual Leader & Guru
Swami Jyotirmayananda, born on February 3, 1931, in Dumari Buzurg, Bihar, India, embraced spirituality early and took Sanyasa at the age of 22. As a disciple of Swami Sivananda, he served as a professor at the Yoga Vedanta Forest Academy, teaching and editing the Yoga Vedanta Journal.
In 1962, he brought the teachings of Yoga and Vedanta to the West, founding the Yoga Research Foundation in Miami and establishing global centers — including Loni Ashram in India and Jyotirmaya Yoga Kendra in Switzerland and Florida. Through his lectures, writings, and humanitarian efforts, he became a leading proponent of Integral Yoga, synthesizing ancient traditions for modern life.
Swamiji continues to inspire with his compassion, wisdom, and dedication to serving humanity.

Yoga Kendra Director
Karma Yogi Vaani Maharaj is a devotee and disciple of Shri Swami Jyotirmayananda. She was introduced to yoga at a very young age by her father, learning from various Hatha Yoga teachers and Indian Classical dance teachers through her adolescence. In 2008, she was guided to her Satyam (truth) guru, Shri Swami Jyotirmayananda, and took guru diksha in 2011.
Vaani's specialty in Indian Classical and Folk dance, nutritional health, and Integral Yoga gives her teaching a unique style — along with a knack for helping children and youth in the South Florida community, bringing peace and a central focus to their young lives. She has taught classes, lectures, and demonstrations across West Palm Beach, Broward, and Dade County, and in Switzerland.
"Her compassion is palpable and her informative anecdotes make the class extra special." — Andrea G., student

This is my favorite yoga studio. The vibes are welcoming from the minute you open the door. The instructors and the space are outstanding. The instructors welcome all skill levels from those that attend yoga classes regularly to the newbie.
I am disabled, and I've been using this yoga center for over a year. I am blessed to have them in my life. I could hardly even stand without a cane when I first came — now I'm doing beginners yoga with the best of them. She is a lifesaver.
I really enjoy attending Vaani's yoga classes. Her guidance has been invaluable both spiritually and physically. She creates a welcoming environment where I feel supported in my practice. I highly recommend her classes!
The knowledge and experience gained is well beyond anything I could have imagined. The instructions and practices give you great peace and joy. Affordable pricing bringing yoga into anyone's lives without breaking the bank!

This is definitely the place for meditation and yoga. It feels so home-y. I learned so much and I can't wait for my next session with Vaani!
